Hello possums! 

It’s been about 2 years since my last update, and coincidently about 2 years since I was last in Australia. Time flies and I’ve certainly been having fun playing a lot of music, learning film scoring, and watching my dear son Tomi growing up. He certainly seems to have the music bug and it's inspiring to see his enthusiasm and endless thirst for jamming. 

Alysha and I always love coming back to Melbourne.  We have many great friends and memories there that have shaped our lives and made us who we are. Melbourne makes me think of my Jerry Jeff Walker records, late night partying with Mike Hager and Andrew Bailey, swirly green carpet and reel to reel tape machines. 

I’m excited to be playing a reunion gig with The Vandas at the Merri Creek Tavern on March 26th . It's been a long time since I’ve gotten that sweaty on stage.  These days I’m usually seated comfortably behind my pedal steel. Hope I can muster the piss and vinegar needed to play those songs the way we used to! 

I also have two solo gigs: 28th at the Merri Creek Tavern and the 29th at the Labour in Vain. I’ll be keeping the sets pretty casual, requests will definitely be  encouraged and I’ll be inviting some old friends to join me on a few tunes. 

Can’t wait to see everyone and hear about what’s been going down, hopefully over a few Coopers!
